Abu Dhabi: U.S. official, Mr. Arun Venkataraman, has declared that the increased collaboration of United States and UAE in the renewable energy sector is advancing their shared climate goals, and the outcomes will be displayed at COP 28, the United Nations climate conference that will be held in Dubai in 2023.
Mr. Venkataraman was on his first official visit to the UAE after assuming office in April 2022 to monitor American government efforts to promote exports abroad and seek inward investment.

The official noted that the UAE Government is strongly dedicated in empowering the clean energy sector to produce more renewable energy that improves energy efficiency and helps decarbonization. This decision may lead to commercial partnerships with the UAE in renewable energy sector exponentially.

By pursuing all of these objectives, we not only enhance our commercial collaboration, but we do so in a way that advances our shared climate objectives. I think we will see a number of opportunities for that collaboration to grow. We will really see how this collaboration results in practical outcomes that we can showcase at COP 28.
Mr. Venkataraman explained.
“There will be much greater partnerships with foreign companies that are investing in the United States to expand the renewable energy options”, the Senior Official added.
