Al Ain: A student delegation from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) recently paved a visit to the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. The Visit by the UAEU’s week-long summer training program for its students.
The travelling delegation to Spain included students who are studying different academic disciplines. The trip was part of the two university’s agreement in the past to boost collaboration.
Sharing her thoughts about the trip, Professor Aysha Salem Al Dhaheri, Associate Provost for Student Affairs, remarked that the visit is part of the cooperation framework between UAEU and the University of Navarra that aims to strengthen the role of arts by exchanging knowledge and experience.
The delegation comprising 12 students were chosen according to their academic achievements, artistic talent, and ability to produce creative and innovative works.
THE TOUR
The delegation visited the University’s Museum, which plays an important role in media and community education, and takes a multidisciplinary approach to art. The Museum also seeks to promote the participation and cooperation of schools, departments and other centres of the University of Navarra.
The students’ summer training program also included an intensive Spanish language course for beginners, an introduction to archaeological museums, the history of Pamplona and its varied cultures, the city’s ancient monuments erected over numerous centuries and their preservation, and training workshops hosted by several Universities of Navarra’s schools and departments.
