Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates will host the international conference on “Effective Nuclear and Radiation Regulatory Systems: Preparing for the Future in Rapidly Changing Environment,” which will be held in Abu Dhabi from February 13 to 16.
The conference is organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and hosted by the UAE’s Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR).
The 6th edition of the international conference seeks to engage in a dialogue at an international expert level to share regulatory experiences related to enhancing the effectiveness of nuclear as well as radiation regulatory systems, taking into consideration the outcomes of the past conferences.

The conference is expected to be attended by more than 90 speakers and approximately 400 attendees.
The conference will address multiple topics such as regulatory experience, resilience, and agility to respond to new and emerging challenges. It will also address regulatory approaches to innovation, emerging technologies, and new digital innovations, as well as building trust among stakeholders and developing future nuclear leaders.
During the conference, a side event called “Youth Panel: Young Professionals Competition” will be held where the young professionals will present initiatives and ideas to enhance the nuclear regulatory systems’ effectiveness, in addition to a panel discussion, an exhibition, and posters showing cases of different technologies and countries’ practices.
