Abu Dhabi: The inaugural Endurance Ride for Purebred Arabians organized in collaboration with the Emirates International Endurance Village will take place on 26th January 2025 in Al Wathba.
The event will be held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS).
The initiative underscores Sheikh Mansour’s dedication to preserving the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose passion for Arabian horses elevated their global standing.
Sheikh Mansour’s initiative reflects the unwavering support for endurance sports and his efforts to showcase the exceptional capabilities of Arabian horses. Known for their resilience and ability to endure challenging conditions, these animals hold a special place in UAE heritage.
The event aims to foster competition among breeders and owners while promoting the UAE as a leader in hosting unique equestrian events. It also provides an opportunity to spotlight the cultural and historical significance of Arabian horses, encouraging the preservation of their rare breeds.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the EAHS, emphasized that, “The 100-kilometer race will be a landmark event, showcasing the remarkable traits of Arabian horses and strengthening their status in global equestrian sports. It will inspire owners and breeders to preserve these animals and elevate the sport of endurance racing.”
