Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s state-owned oil company, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has partnered with Emirati road bicycle racing team, the UAE Team Emirates to introduce the ADNOC Accelerator Program, a cutting-edge, 3-day training camp designed to find and nurture the next generation of Emirati cycling talent.
The program gives talented Emirati cyclists the chance to race with the two-time Tour de France champion team and train under the supervision of the UAE Team Emirates’ high performance coaching staff.
Through a series of competing scenarios, the ADNOC Accelerator Program is intended to assess the participants’ physical and mental fitness.

The group will eventually be reduced to just the best cyclists as the program goes on, who will compete in a road race to Al Wathba with UAE Team Emirates cyclists to see who will emerge as the top cyclist.
The winner will be given the opportunity to participate in a yearlong development program with the UAE Team Emirates, sponsored by ADNOC. This program will give the winner, access to the team’s coaches and nutritionists as well as the chance to attend official training camps beginning in December with a 10 day winter camp in Spain.
The ADNOC Accelerator Program offers our future cycling stars a truly unique opportunity to fulfil their potential, working alongside the very best in the world, while providing a talent development pathway that we hope will ultimately ensure future Emirati representation within the UAE Team Emirates squad.
Dr. Saif Al Nasseri, Human Capital Director at ADNOC observed.

Throughout the ADNOC Accelerator Program, UAE Team Emirates management, Slovenian superstar Mr. Tadej Pogaar, and Emirati hero Mr. Yousif Mirza will all be present, providing participants with first-hand insights into what it takes to compete and challenge at the highest level and assisting in the identification of the future stars of UAE Team Emirates.
