Morocco: The UAE has been awarded the Best Pavilion Award at the 13th edition of the International Date Fair, SIDATTES, presently taking place in Erfoud, Morocco, and running until November 3.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, dedicated the UAE pavilion’s first-place win to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. This honor reflects His Highness’ unwavering support for the date palm cultivation and production sector at national, regional, and international levels.
Dr. Abdul Wahab Zayed, Secretary General of the Award, highlighted that the UAE pavilion determined itself this year by presenting a wide array of premium dates along with innovative solutions aimed at advancing the date industry. Abdul Wahab Zayed emphasized the pavilion’s showcase of modern agricultural technologies that improve palm productivity while ensuring the high quality of Emirati dates.
In addition to showcasing products, the UAE pavilion featured interactive presentations and workshops centered on the creation and sustainable technologies in palm cultivation. Visitors also had the chance to sample Emirati dates, which garnered enthusiastic praise from attendees.
Dr. Zayed further noted that the UAE is a leader in the global date market and is committed to intensifying cooperation with other date-producing countries. The pavilion aims to encourage the exchange of expertise and contribute to the development and sustainability of the date sector for future generations.
