Paris: The UAE National Showjumping Team will compete in the individual showjumping event at the Palace of Versailles on Monday as part of the 33rd edition of the Olympic Games in Paris, running from July 26 to August 11.
Seventy-five riders will participate in the individual competition, with the top 30 advancing to the final based on faults and times. UAE riders have completed their training and veterinary inspections.
Sultan Mohammed Al Yahyai, Board Member of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, highlighted the significance of this participation, marking a milestone in the UAE’s equestrian journey. He emphasized the Board’s commitment to developing Emirati athletes and expanding participation in showjumping through training programs and club collaborations.
Al Yahyai also noted the Federation’s focus on developing female riders, providing them with opportunities to excel in showjumping and other sports, aiming to nurture future champions.
