Baku: During a working visit to Azerbaijan, coinciding with the COP29 climate conference, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted a dinner in Baku.
The event was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah of Jordan, His Excellency Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, and His Excellency Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania.
During the dinner, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the distinguished guests engaged in friendly conversations, highlighting the strong relations between the UAE and their respective countries.
The Jordanian Crown Prince, Belarusian President, and Albanian Prime Minister expressed their gratitude to His Highness for the thoughtful gesture, wishing him good health and continued progress and prosperity for the UAE.
They also emphasized their shared commitment to further advancing these ties for mutual benefit and growth. The discussions also touched on the significant role of the COP29 climate conference, which is being hosted in Azerbaijan from November 11th to 22nd, in promoting global climate action.
The COP29 officially opened in Baku, Azerbaijan, drawing wide international participation and placing renewed focus on advancing climate action.
The summit aims to align global priorities with practical capabilities, working to transform them into achievable and fair outcomes.
During the main session, the United Arab Emirates officially transferred the COP presidency to Azerbaijan, continuing to play a vital role as an important partner in advancing global climate diplomacy efforts.
