Abu Dhabi: The UAE Pavilion at COP29, themed “Accelerating Action Together,” will play a pivotal role in showcasing the nation’s climate leadership and achievements.
Abdulla Al Balalaa, UAE’s Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainable Affairs, shared details of the country’s participation at the upcoming climate conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
At COP29, the UAE Pavilion will unite climate experts, government representatives, business leaders, academics, and youth for over 60 themed sideline programs, promoting the exchange of ideas and collaboration on solutions to the most urgent climate challenges.
Abdulla Al Balalaa emphasized that COP29 is a crucial moment in the global climate effort, following the UAE Consensus and the shared goal to limit global warming to 1.5°C. With COP29 ahead of nations submitting their climate transition plans, the UAE remains committed to driving collaboration and ambition in global negotiations.
Al Balalaa expressed support for Azerbaijan’s leadership in bringing countries together at the event and highlighted the UAE’s role in hosting a Pavilion at COP29, featuring over 60 programs to foster dialogue and innovative solutions for climate challenges.

The UAE Pavilion at COP29, will showcase the nation’s climate journey, emphasizing key areas such as the UAE Consensus, the legacy and impact of COP28, and the country’s progress in biodiversity, climate finance, Net Zero commitment, food and water resiliency, and safeguarding lives and livelihoods.
