Dubai: Highlighting the deepening ties between India and the UAE, India has launched a visa-on-arrival service for UAE nationals, alongside travelers from Japan and South Korea.
This facility, valid for up to 60 days with double entry, is available at six key Indian airports, including Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
Announced by India’s Ministry of Tourism, the visa-on-arrival facility is designed to enhance the travel experience for UAE tourists, business professionals, and medical visitors. This development is particularly significant given the strong bilateral relationship between India and the UAE, which has seen substantial growth in trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
In addition to the visa-on-arrival service, India has also expanded its e-visa program, now offering Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for citizens of 167 countries. This expansion allows entry through 30 international airports and six major seaports, making it easier for UAE nationals and others to explore India’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant landscapes.
To further support international travelers, the Indian government has established a 24/7 Multi-Lingual Tourist Info-Helpline, available toll-free at 1800111363 or via shortcode 1363. This helpline offers assistance in 12 languages, ensuring that visitors from the UAE and other countries receive the support they need.
This initiative is part of India’s broader strategy to boost tourism and strengthen its appeal as a global destination, particularly for travelers from the UAE, a key partner in the region.
