Abu Dhabi: On the occasion of the 53rd National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan led heartfelt tributes to the UAE, its citizens, and residents.
In the handwritten message, Sheikh Mohamed expressed deep pride in the nation’s accomplishments and unity, stating that, “To the people of the UAE,” “On the occasion of Eid Al Etihad, we take pride in the UAE and its people, both citizens and residents. Thank you for your determination. Thank you for your efforts. Thank you for all that you do for this nation.”

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also shared his heartfelt message that, “On the occasion of our glorious Union Day, We thank God for the blessings of this dear country, we remember the founders, we celebrate the achievements of the march, we congratulate the people of the Union. We renew our loyalty to the President of the Union and the pledge to preserve the gains of the Union.”
The Vice President added that, “May the people of the Emirates be well. Every year, may our people be in security, safety, prosperity, and stability. May God protect the United Arab Emirates.”

HH Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, stated that, “It is a day on which we express our pride in the comprehensive renaissance achieved by the UAE, its honorable leaders, and its dear people, who have transformed it into a unique model of unity and a strong pillar.”
HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, emphasized that, “Fifty-three years of history cannot be captured in words alone. Glory to you, for your history, present, and future. Glory to the UAE’s flag, which will remain high and proud forever.”
HH Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman commented that, “The anniversary of Eid Al Etihad fills us with pride for a forward-looking nation that has outpaced many others in its progress and development. It reflects our commitment to achieving the highest levels of well-being for our people, guided by the visionary leadership of the UAE and the relentless determination of its citizens, who consistently overcome challenges.”
HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah highlighted that, “It is founded on the values of unity, cooperation, solidarity, compassion, pride in its identity and principles, and the commitment to building its future through the efforts of its citizens, empowered by science and knowledge.”
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance said that, “We witnessed the renaissance of a nation and the story of an immortal union, 53 years that immortalized the biography of our founding fathers and are led today by a wise leadership with a penetrating vision.”
Eid Al Etihad is being celebrated not only within the UAE but also around the world. Hamad Al Neyadi, head of the UAE Relief Mission in Gaza, welcomed participants of the Eid Al Etihad celebrations, underscoring the global recognition of the UAE’s progress and unity. Additionally, national landmarks in Bahrain were illuminated with the UAE’s colors, symbolizing the international ties and camaraderie shared by the Emirates.
