Dubai: The UAE’s top leadership convened at Dubai World Central to visit the 19th edition of Dubai Airshow, held under the theme ‘The Future is Here’. Running until November 21, the event marks its largest gathering of global aviation, aerospace, and defense innovators to date.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan were among the senior leaders who toured the show.
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed toured the exhibition’s indoor and outdoor displays, where he was briefed on the newest breakthroughs in civil and military aviation, integrated defense systems, and advanced aerospace technologies showcased by leading local and international companies.
Upon arrival, Sheikh Mohamed was welcomed by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. The leaders exchanged warm greetings before beginning a tour of key pavilions.

During his visit, the UAE President attended the official launch of the Emirati-developed Badr-250 (B-250), the first multi-role aircraft fully designed, engineered, and manufactured in the UAE by Calidus Group. His Highness also reviewed the latest initiatives of the Tawazun Council, reaffirming the UAE’s progress in building a resilient, future-ready defense ecosystem driven by national talent.
Meanwhile, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid toured the Airshow’s exhibition halls, accompanied by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
Reviewing cutting-edge aircraft and next-generation air mobility systems, Sheikh Mohammed praised the UAE’s sustained investment in research, innovation, and smart infrastructure, key pillars that have firmly positioned the nation as one of the world’s leading aviation hubs.
His Highness noted that continued collaboration with global industry leaders and the development of competitive national talent remain central to strengthening this leadership.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, also visited the Airshow, where HH met with representatives of major aerospace companies and reviewed partnerships supporting the UAE’s growing defense technology ecosystem.
The Crown Prince emphasized the importance of expanding advanced manufacturing, strengthening R&D capabilities, and nurturing Emirati innovators who are shaping the sector’s future.
The UAE leaders underscored the significance of the Dubai Airshow as a global platform enabling strategic partnerships, accelerating technology adoption, and reinforcing the UAE’s role as a destination for major international events.
Their visits collectively highlighted the nation’s commitment to shaping the future of aviation and defense, while opening new pathways for growth, innovation, and international cooperation.
