Abu Dhabi: The fourth session of the UAE-Kenya Joint Committee took place in Abu Dhabi, aiming to bolster economic cooperation between the two nations. Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State, and Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, co-chaired the meeting.
High-level officials from both countries participated in the discussions, focusing on key sectors such as trade, investment, tourism, aviation, renewable energy, education, youth, agriculture, transport, ports, labor, and defense. The committee emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and building strong partnerships that serve the mutual interests of both countries.
Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan highlighted the role of the joint committee in fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors of the UAE and Kenya. He urged continuous efforts to enhance ties between the two nations.
Musalia Mudavadi reiterated Kenya’s commitment to deepening its relationship with the UAE, acknowledging the significant progress made through the joint committee’s work.
The session concluded with the signing of the minutes of the fourth session of the UAE-Kenya Joint Committee. Additionally, both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on governance and expertise exchange in the government sector, further solidifying their cooperation.
