Abu Dhabi: The UAE and Iran have convened the tenth meeting of the Joint Consular Committee in Abu Dhabi to better serve their nationals and advance their overall collaboration in consular matters.
The meeting was presided over by Alireza Bikdeli, acting deputy minister for consular, parliamentary, and Iranian expatriate affairs, representing Iran, and Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the Emirati side.
The two sides addressed plans for their future development, a variety of similar consular challenges, and enhancing collaboration in consular activities during the meeting.
Belhoul emphasized that in order to advance and fortify the two nations’ bilateral ties and improve the security, stability, and prosperity of the region, the UAE is prepared to intensify its collaboration in all spheres, including trade and the economy.
In addition to highlighting the UAE leadership’s dedication to constructive dialogue and cooperation, he emphasized the significance of forging strong ties with neighboring nations in order to promote peace, stability, growth, and prosperity for all.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, then sent Belhoul his greetings and expressed gratitude for the improvements in the two nations’ relations.
In line with its leadership’s goals and directions, he also reaffirmed the UAE’s desire to improve ties with the other nation.
