Jakarta: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Indonesia has held the second session of their Joint Consular Committee in Jakarta, aimed at enhancing cooperation across various consular fields. The Joint Consular Committee meeting concentrated on providing exceptional consular support and services to the citizens of both nations.
The session was chaired by H.E. Khalid Abdulla Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Andy Rachmianto, Director General for Protocol and Consular Affairs at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. H.E. Belhoul conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, and commended the positive developments in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
In his remarks, H.E. Belhoul emphasized the UAE’s commitment to strengthening ties with Indonesia, recollecting the leadership’s vision to further develop the relationship. H.E. Belhoul acknowledged the historic and strategic partnership between the two countries, which has been built on mutual understanding and respect.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of consular issues and outlined plans for follow-up actions to improve collaboration. Representatives from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, and relevant Indonesian authorities also participated in the discussions.
The ongoing cooperation reflects the growing relationship between the UAE and Indonesia, with both nations making important strides in various sectors in recent years.
