Abu Dhabi: The UAE has provided potable water to medical points in Gaza as part of a humanitarian initiative. The Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 team has distributed clean drinking water to medical facilities and areas where displaced individuals have gathered in Khan Yunis.
This initiative is part of a broader campaign aimed at reducing the hardships faced by patients and providing essential support to healthcare centers in the region.
The UAE has launched several projects to address the ongoing crisis in Gaza. This includes setting up three desalination plants, which currently supply around 600,000 gallons of clean drinking water daily to various shelters and medical points. These plants are located in Egypt’s Rafah and distribute water to approximately 300,000 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, alleviating the severe shortage of water caused by the ongoing conflict.
UAE also address the crisis through, the repair of water lines and networks in Khan Yunis and northern Gaza, the supply of water tanks, and the distribution of drinking water to displaced families in camps. These efforts are designed to alleviate the struggles of Gaza’s residents under challenging conditions.
The people of Gaza expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the UAE for its continuous assistance to families and patients in the area. They also praised the UAE’s vital role in delivering water and essential resources to those in need.
