Dubai: Under the Patronship of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, 50 public and private organizations throughout the UAE, are all set to organize 70+ events, marking “UAE Codes” Day.
Celebrated on the 29th of October, the “UAE Codes” Day highlights talents and expertise in digital systems, celebrates their accomplishments in the areas of digitization, and furthers the goals of the UAE digital economy strategy.
The date also marks the 20th anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid launching the first e-government in the region on that day in 2001.
The proactive thinking of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the cornerstone in elevating the UAE’s status as a future pioneer and a global platform for building skills and empowering youth with cutting-edge tools and technological solutions, according to Mr. Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.
As per Mr. Al Olama, “UAE Codes Day” observes the UAE’s 1st major digital accomplishment. By encouraging kids to use coding and AI technologies in future projects, developing their capacities, and supporting their talents to design a better future, the occasion celebrates technological successes and foresees future advances.
Around 50 federal, governmental, and commercial organizations in the UAE will host more than 70 events on the “UAE Codes” Day, including conferences, workshops, contests, hackathons, and other activities.
This day offers a chance for people, organizations, governments, and businesses in the UAE to launch coding initiatives, develop fresh concepts to support coding ideas, and spread awareness of the fundamental role that coding plays in easing daily life, advancing society, and hastening the march of humanity toward the future.
The “UAE Codes” Day emphasizes supporting the activities of the coding community and offering a useful forum for programmers to share experiences, information, and coding expertise in order to construct an innovative, modern digital economy and advance their coding skills and AI technology.
