Nicosia: The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, has welcomed H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, during an official meeting held in Nicosia. The meeting also saw the presence of Cypriot Foreign Minister Dr. Constantinos Kombos.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Cyprus and its people. Highlighting the strengthening of bilateral ties, Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to fostering a robust partnership with Cyprus.
In response, President Christodoulides grew warm regards to President Sheikh Mohamed and expressed his aspirations for ongoing growth and success for the UAE. Christodoulides also emphasized the strong and historic relationship between the two nations.
Discussions during the meeting circled advancing cooperation between the UAE and Cyprus, while both sides exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the current situation in the Middle East.
This high-level engagement reflects the deepening collaboration between the two countries as they work together on matters of mutual interest.
