Ras Al Khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah has attended the “Melodies of the Far East” concert, in celebration of 40 years of diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China.
The event, held at the Ras Al Khaimah Creative Hub, featured an array of musical performances that underscored the cultural ties between the two nations. Zhang Yiming, the Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, and George Yeo, former Foreign Minister of Singapore, were also in attendance.
Sheikh Saud emphasized that the UAE-China relationship symbolizes a model of international cooperation, depicted by shared vision and mutual advancement. Reflecting on the past four decades, Sheikh Saud noted that the partnership has yielded significant achievements across various sectors, affirming a robust strategic alliance.
Sheikh Saud remarked that, “The UAE-China relationship is more than a diplomatic partnership. It is a testament to the mutual respect and forward-thinking partnership that continues to bring our nations closer together across commercial, economic, and developmental fields.”
The ‘Melodies of the Far East’ concert, organized by the Chinese Embassy in the UAE and the Chinese Cultural Center, showcased implementations by the esteemed Chinese Eastern Arts Troupe. The program is composed of traditional Chinese music and dance, alongside performances encouraged by global cultures, emphasizing the deep-rooted cultural and artistic exchanges between the UAE and China.
As a significant cultural milestone, the concert strengthened the commitment to bilateral cooperation, including shared initiatives in cultural, economic, and developmental fields. Sheikh Saud commended these efforts, underscoring the event as a symbol of the lasting friendship between the UAE and China and their peoples.
