UAE: The United Arab Emirates has launched a national relief campaign titled “UAE with You, Lebanon”, striving to support the Lebanese people despite the escalating roughness and field tensions. Under the notice of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the initiative comes as part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to help those affected by regional conflicts.
In a powerful movement, the UAE has committed $100 million in urgent humanitarian efforts to Lebanon. The support package aims to manage immediate needs such as healthcare, medical supplies, and other forms of aid for the Lebanese population, particularly as the country encounters mounting challenges due to the continuing conflict in the region.
The first shipment of relief reserves was dispatched from Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai. In association with the World Health Organization (WHO), the UAE sent an aircraft carrying 40 tons of vital medical supplies to Lebanon. This initial delivery commemorates the beginning of what is expected to be a continued and extensive relief operation.
The UAE government voiced deep concern over the deteriorating situation in Lebanon and the impact it is having on the region’s stability. Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, emphasized the country’s dedication to providing urgent humanitarian support in times of emergency. She underscored the leadership’s commitment to global solidarity and the UAE’s long-standing role as a leader in international humanitarian efforts.
Al Hashimy confirmed that the UAE would remain assertive in sending more aid to Lebanon, concentrating particularly on the needs of vulnerable groups. The campaign aspires to relieve suffering and ensure that essential services, specifically in the health sector, are sustained despite the ongoing conflict.
