Cairo: On behalf of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, has participated in the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF) in Cairo, Egypt.
The event, held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, brought together prominent regional and international leaders. The forum aims to enhance cooperation in sustainable urban development for the benefit of governments and people worldwide.
Sheikh Nahyan led the UAE delegation, underscoring the nation’s commitment to addressing global urbanization and sustainability issues. Following the sessions, he expressed that the UAE’s involvement, directed by Sheikh Mohamed, highlights the country’s dedication to sharing its experience, learning from global practices, and enhancing international cooperation for sustainable development.
The forum tackled the urgent need for sustainable solutions to the global housing crisis, one of today’s most pressing global challenges. Sheikh Nahyan stated conveyed Sheikh Mohamed’s greetings to the Egyptian leadership, along with well-wishes for the success of the forum in promoting impactful, sustainable outcomes. He also affirmed the strong UAE-Egypt relations, which continue to foster regional collaboration and mutual benefit.
Sheikh Nahyan highlighted that the participation of UAE allowed productive engagement with global leaders, facilitating dialogues on urbanization challenges and sustainable development partnerships.
The meetings emphasized collaboration to address climate change, poverty, and global conflicts, fostering partnerships to drive forward positive change for humanity.
