Abu Dhabi: The TRENDS International Training Institute, a subsidiary of TRENDS Research & Advisory, has entered a strategic partnership with the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations (GSD). This collaboration strengthens TRENDS’ role in professional training and development, aligning with its mission to become a global leader in education and connecting think tanks and universities worldwide.
The agreement, signed at the TRENDS Conference Hall, enables TRENDS to offer professional training programmes accredited by GSD, including the Certificate of International Relations (CIR) and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Relations (CASIR). The partnership also includes joint research initiatives and the publication of specialised academic papers, aiming to meet the increasing demand for expertise in diplomacy and international relations within the GCC region.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, stated, “This partnership will enhance our position as a regional centre for education and training in diplomacy and international relations.” He added that the collaboration would provide distinguished training programmes in relevant fields, preparing individuals to tackle contemporary challenges in a rapidly evolving world.
In a joint press release, Dr. Colum Murphy, President of GSD, and Dr. Rakesh Krishnan, General Manager of GSD, expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting the GCC’s growing role in global diplomacy and the increasing need for skilled professionals in the region.
Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al-Shamsi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, emphasised the importance of training in developing skills, empowering youth, and preparing them to meet the demands of the global job market.
