The award is open to content creators who have made a significant, positive impact through their work. Applicants are required to provide a detailed account of their projects, including their history and key concepts.
Nominations can also be submitted for third-party content creators who have contributed positively to their communities by promoting humanitarian values, social good, and meaningful change.
The winner will be revealed at the closing ceremony of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, which will be held from 11th to 13th January 2025. This year’s summit will focus on the theme, “Content for Good”.
The eligibility criteria for the award stipulate that content must have scientific, cultural, humanitarian, or social value. It should aim to inspire, unite, promote sustainability, and demonstrate values of empathy and compassion. The content must also be innovative, and original, and adhere to the policies and quality standards of social media platforms, fostering engagement with a broad audience.
The selection process will begin with a panel of judges evaluating entries from 1st to 15th December 2024, narrowing the field to 10 finalists. Public voting will then open from 16th to 31st December 2024, allowing the global audience to vote for their favorite projects.
In addition to the award, the 2025 Summit will introduce three specialized tracks: Technology, Economy, and Content. These tracks are designed to enhance the summit experience, provide more focused learning environments and opportunities for networking, streamline the agenda, and allow attendees to engage with like-minded individuals.
