Abu Dhabi: Arab Youth Centre is all set to organize the “Arab Youth Meeting for Young Leaders” at Expo 2020 Dubai from the 28th of March to the 30th.
The event which is expected to be hosted on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, will witness participation from 20+ Arab Ministers, 35 Leaders of Youth Empowerment Establishments in the Arab Region, 55 Young Director- Generals and CEOs, 110 Young Scholars from Government Authorities, Officials from relevant Regional and International Organizations and Decision-Makers in the Youth Empowerment.
The gathering will deliberate on the ambitions of the youth, available opportunities, and drafting initiatives and strategies that will empower young talents locally, regionally and internationally in development, innovation and intellectual interactions.
THE FORMAT
Arab Youth Meeting will accommodate a ministerial session which will discuss the best youth policies. Other sessions will tackle the topic of youth empowerment in the process of development while the event’s crucial pillars will address Arab youth strategies, Arab partnerships, action sessions, Arab youth meetings, and Arab youth reports.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shamma Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Chair of the Emirates Youth Councils and Vice Chair of the Arab Youth Centre, observed that since its inception, the World Government Summit has prioritized youth empowerment and engagement, noting that investing in young talents is a major pillar of the summit.
Meanwhile, Mr. Saeed Al Nazari, Director-General of the Federal Youth Authority and CEO of Strategy at the Arab Youth Centre, stated that the centre will host introductory meetings for all participants on 11th and 12th March via video conferencing, to discuss the ideas of the youth and present them to heads of youth action organizations, to turn them into practical steps to serve the youth empowerment process.
ARAB YOUTH MEETING FOR YOUNG LEADERS
Organized in partnership with World Government Summit, the Arab Youth Meeting for Young Leaders offers Arab youth the opportunity to interact with decision-makers and officials, and to be active on this global platform.
The event is the largest gathering of young government leaders across the Arab world that serves as an umbrella platform for exclusive discussions aimed at addressing the issues facing Arab youth.
The Meeting explores ways of empowering young Arabs, broadening their horizons, stepping up their contribution to development, and enhancing their role in shaping the future of the Arab world.
The goals set out by the Initiative include;
- Uniting efforts to support youth in the Arab World
- Developing a common agenda dedicated to Arab Youth
- Launching regional initiatives for Arab Youth in the areas of job opportunities, entrepreneurship, research, etc.
- Assisting Arab governments in supporting Youth potential to benefit societies and economies
