Sharjah: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has represented the Emirate of Sharjah at the United Nations’ Summit of the Future held in New York. The four-day occurrence of the UN Summit of the Future has brought together international administrators, youth delegates, civil society, academia, and local authorities.
The event was followed by a series of seminars and high-level discussions concentrated on shaping a safe, equitable, and sustainable future for youth. SSEF’s delegation energetically employed dialogues centered on authorizing young individuals, particularly orphans, to become key contributors to their families and communities.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director-General of SSEF, highlighted the significance of international collaboration and the development of processes that elevate youth to administration positions. Suwaidi stated that, “This summit enables crucial discussions and fosters international cooperation, encouraging a collective vision for vital issues.”
In addition to its conferences, the Foundation showcased its creative humanitarian projects aimed at supporting orphans within their families. Al Suwaidi communicated the organization’s commitment to managing the unique needs of these children. She stated that, “We strive to listen to their needs and provide the best care, directing their energies positively.”
SSEF has expanded programs that focus on the psychological and social aspects of care, constantly adapting to meet the goals of delegating orphaned children and supporting their guardians.
The summit concluded with several key proposals, including increased investment in youth, enhancement of educational initiatives, and elaboration of vocational training opportunities. Participants underscored the need for partnership, effective data collection, gender equality, digital cooperation, and strong partnerships in humanitarian efforts to protect future generations against global challenges.
