Abu Dhabi: The 51st UAE National Day celebrations at Sheikh Zayed Festival began at Al Wathba with various cultural attractions and entertainment activities that reflect the great achievements of the country. The festival features the founding of the nation to the present day when it has become one of the most prominent and advanced countries in the world.
The stunning fireworks display lit up the skies over Al Wathba to the delight of a large number of visitors. The fireworks show continues along with a remarkable drone show with the theme “Together for the Future,” which emphasises the story of the nation and its successful journey toward progress and prosperity.
The celebrations also included the Abu Dhabi Police Band, the Heritage Village activities and various shows and performances. The festival also features a Union Parade, in addition to many other well-curated activities.
The Ministry of Interior will hold a military show on the final day to celebrate the happiest occasion at the Festival with the mounted police unit, the motorcycle unit, cyclists unit, sand bikes unit, the K9 unit, and the GTR patrol and other activities.
Earlier, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed stated that, “Taking care of our citizens and opening up all avenues of development, creativity and self-affirmation before them has been, and will always remain, our top priority and we will spare no effort to achieve this goal.”
According to the President, UAE would remain a key partner and supporter of everything that brings about progress and development for humanity, and enhances the world’s ability to meet the challenges of climate change, food security, disease, epidemics and poverty.
