Abu Dhabi: The Spanish School of Abu Dhabi (SSAD) hosted an exclusive event on 26th May 2023 to showcase the remarkable progress and achievements of its educational project, along with the highly anticipated unveiling of the Spanish Language Center. Esteemed guests, including Spanish-speaking Ambassadors and diplomats in the UAE, gathered at the school premises in Al Bateen to celebrate the partnership between SSAD and the Spanish-speaking community.
The event highlighted the instrumental role of the educational project of SSAD in promoting the Spanish language and culture in Abu Dhabi. It provided a platform to share the latest developments in this transformative initiative, emphasizing the school’s commitment to fostering understanding and collaboration among the Spanish-speaking community and the UAE.
Under the guidance of Dr. Suaad Al Suwaidi, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of SSAD, the event aimed to strengthen the already thriving connection between SSAD and the Spanish-speaking community within the UAE. The objective was to foster a spirit of collaboration not only between the UAE and Spanish-speaking nations but also among the nations themselves, united by a shared language and rich cultural heritage.
The event welcomed esteemed guests, including Iñigo del Palacio España, Ambassador of Spain, Francisco Chacon, Dean of the Ibero-American group and Ambassador of Costa Rica, and several other ambassadors and diplomats from Spanish-speaking countries. Their presence and insights further solidified the bond between SSAD and the Spanish-speaking community in the UAE.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Spanish Language Center, a new venture that will enhance language learning and cultural exchange opportunities for students. Ms. Eva Sánchez Castillo, Principal of SSAD, and Ms. Mayo Cid Lara, Coordinator of the Spanish Language Center, shared insights about the objectives and offerings of the school and the center. They emphasized the role of both institutions in promoting Spanish language fluency and deepening intercultural understanding.
Following the program, guests had the opportunity to explore the school premises through a guided tour, witnessing the innovative learning environment and the transformative impact of SSAD’s educational initiatives.
