Abu Dhabi: Space42, the UAE’s first AI-powered SpaceTech company with a global presence, has partnered with the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) to launch an educational campaign.
The initiative aims to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists, engineers, and space enthusiasts in anticipation of the Thuraya 4 satellite launch.
As part of this initiative, MoE students will be invited to visit Yahsat Space Services’ facilities across the UAE. The campaign, under the Thuraya 4 pre-launch theme ‘One World. Deeply Connected,’ is designed to boost interest in sciences through hands-on experiences aligned with the UAE’s STEM curriculum, fostering greater engagement with scientific fields.
Ali Al Hashemi, CEO of Yahsat Space Services’ Space42, highlighted their commitment to nurturing young scientists and supporting the UAE’s National Space Strategy 2030 as they prepare for the launch of the Thuraya 4 satellite.

Yahsat Space Services’ school tours will offer students hands-on exposure to satellite technology through visits to the satellite control center, interactive workshops, and virtual presentations with engineers.
Sulaiman Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Students’ Wellbeing Sector, affirmed the Ministry of Education’s dedication to inspiring students in fields like space science, aligned with the UAE’s vision. Al Kaabi commended Space42’s efforts to engage public school students in its initiatives, enhancing their knowledge and preparing them to lead in vital sectors through this collaboration.
Al Kaabi added that Space42’s initiative will contribute to cementing the UAE’s achievements in space, particularly by facilitating student visits to Space42’s Yahsat Space Services facilities.
The campaign offers schools and students a unique chance to experience real-world STEM applications, aiming to inspire them by showcasing career paths in aerospace and technology and encouraging them to pursue further studies in these fields. studies in STEM fields.

Yahsat Space Services and Control Centre in Abu Dhabi will welcome students from grades 7 to 9, hosting one school per week over six weeks in October and November 2024. The program also includes visits to the Thuraya gateway and offices in Sharjah.
