Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has attended a celebratory dinner in honor of the Kingdom of Morocco, the guest of honor at the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF). The event took place at Al Nabooda House in the Heart of Sharjah.
Sheikh Sultan was greeted by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), and Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Moroccan Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication. Several senior officials, department heads, and special guests of the SIBF were also in attendance.
In his speech, Sheikh Sultan expressed his delight at Morocco’s participation and thanked the nation for its contributions to the event. Sharjah Ruler received greetings from His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Morocco for the valuable gifts, documents, knowledge, and heritage it brought to Sharjah. He highlighted the significance of these valuable pieces as opening new gates of knowledge for the Sharjah community.
Moroccan Minister Bensaid echoed these sentiments, noting Sharjah’s warm welcome and commending the SIBF’s organization and attendance. Bensaid emphasized Morocco’s commitment to making its role as guest of honor a memorable highlight for all visitors and participants. The evening concluded with an interaction of gifts and commemorative plaques, along with group photos grasping the occasion.
