Ras Al Khaimah: One of the most noble social events in the region, the Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research was recently flagged off by H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
The charitable event which was organized at Al Qawasim Corniche witnessed considerable participation from all segments of the society.
Speaking at the event, the RAK Ruler pointed out that the philanthropic initiatives reflect the humanitarian principles and deep-rooted values in Ras Al Khaimah society, the UAE and all those who are living on its land, and mirror the country’s cultural message based on tolerance and human fraternity.
Sheikh Saud praised the event’s noble values that call for giving and cooperation principles and raise the society’s awareness on the significance of the charitable initiatives.
Saqr bin Mohammed Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation collaborated to hold the Family Fun run and walk event.
Funds raised from the race will be contributed to the UAE University in Al Ain for continuing Terry Fox funded cancer research projects.
