Ras Al Khaimah: The Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi has inaugurated the “Ras Al Khaimah Safe City” project during visiting the Ras Al Khaimah Police GHQ, accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah.
“Ras Al Khaimah Safe City” project, one of the key projects of the Police Venture Capital Fund in the field of digital security and digitisation in Ras Al Khaimah. The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah emphasized that the safety and security of UAE nationals and residents were the emirate’s top objectives.
“The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah enjoys the highest levels of safety and security in the world, due to its ambitious strategy aimed at promoting its stature as an ideal destination for living, working and investment,” Sheikh Saud remarked.
Major General Mr. Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ras Al Khaimah Police, Lt. General Mr. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Council of Police Commanders in the UAE, directors of government agencies, and senior police officers from the emirate all welcomed Sheikh Saud.
After the reception, Sheikh Saud went to the project’s focal point at the police headquarters, where he was given a presentation by Major General Mr. Al Nuaimi on the project’s phases and the significance of the project in terms of security and strategy.
The project’s general supervisor, Major General Mr. Walid Al Mannai, provided a thorough presentation on the project’s phases and technical components. The Ras Al Khaimah Ruler praised the team’s efforts at the end of the tour, saying that they had contributed to the project’s rapid progress.
Following the visit, Lt. General Mr. Tamim and Major General Mr. Al Mannai were honoured by Sheikh Saud in his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City and given the Order of Merit in appreciation of their contributions to public safety and law enforcement. Mr. Ali Al Omari, CEO of the Safe City Group, the project’s developer, also received the Medal of Security Cooperation from him.
