Paris: Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and Head of the UAE Delegation to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, praised the UAE police support team for their efforts. The team, sent by the Ministry of Interior, is part of the comprehensive security plan for the Paris Games.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid emphasized the significance of the UAE support team’s participation in this international sporting event to support the French police forces and other international teams in providing protection for stadiums and sports facilities, as well as to secure the areas where teams and fans congregate during the Olympics.
Under the patronage of Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, he said, this participation highlights the high level of efficiency and professionalism enjoyed by the police personnel in the UAE. He is always eager to provide all the expertise and factors of training and excellence to the police personnel, raising their skills to international levels.

This occurred during Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid’s visit to the team members at their Paris headquarters, where they were accompanied by Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General of the General Authority of Sports, Faris Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee, and Minister of State Noura Al Kaabi.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid spoke with the members of the team and received an update on their efforts to secure the international athletic event. He emphasized that the UAE and France, two friendly countries, are deeply committed to their bilateral cooperation and their distinguished relations, which is reflected in their participation in this event.

Addressing the team, he said that, “We appreciate your efforts to secure the Olympics, and we have great confidence in your ability to achieve complete security for sports teams and fans, within the scope of your duties. We also confirm that your selection for these tasks comes due to your expertise and excellent police skills which were acknowledged internationally.”
Under the context of cooperative international cooperation with the French police forces, the UAE police support team, sent by the Ministry of Interior, had started its mission to secure the Olympic Games in Paris.
Before effectively carrying out their responsibilities in the positions that were entrusted to them to safeguard the worldwide event, the team members undertook extensive training.
