Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during which they analyzed routes for boosting cooperation between the UAE and Greece. The discussions concentrated on improving ties in key areas such as economic, trade, investment, and development, striving to further mutual interests and support the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
The conversation also handled significant regional and international developments. Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Mitsotakis expressed concern over the ongoing problems in Gaza and Lebanon, underlining the urgent need for heightened efforts to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the protection of civilians, in line with international humanitarian law.
Both leaders highlighted the importance of addressing the escalating humanitarian crisis in the region and preventing the expansion of disputes that threaten regional security and stability. They called for concerted international efforts to specify a clear political pathway towards a just and comprehensive peace, leveled in a two-state solution, to ensure long-term security and stability for all parties involved.
