Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has signed Federal Decree No. 142 of 2024, which establishes the Board of Trustees for Erth Zayed Philanthropies.
The board will be led by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.
Board of Trustees include;
- Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State
- Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Chairman of The Founder’s Office
- Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office
- Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Development and member of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council
- Rashid Saeed Al Ameri, Advisor at the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs
- Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organisations, and member of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council
- Saeed Rashid Al Zaabi, Advisor to the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to advancing humanitarian, charitable, and developmental efforts on the global stage. This commitment, guided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, aims to cultivate a culture of giving both domestically and internationally.
Sheikh Mansour stated that, “Moving forward, the Board of Trustees of Erth Zayed will support the UAE’s broader goal of advancing the nation’s philanthropic ecosystem and collaborating with entities in the Erth Zayed ecosystem to find solutions that benefit global communities through collective efforts.”
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed that the foundation represents President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed’s commitment to preserving and perpetuating the humanitarian legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. HH emphasized the foundation’s role in continuing Sheikh Zayed’s mission of supporting friendly nations in achieving sustainable development and fostering cohesive communities.
Sheikh Theyab further stated that the Board of Trustees will ensure the continuity of Sheikh Zayed’s humanitarian and developmental legacy through impactful global initiatives and humanitarian programs. These efforts aim to enhance the foundation’s contributions and increase humanitarian aid worldwide.
Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Erth Zayed Philanthropies was founded in November 2024 by Federal Decree No. 126 of 2024. Affiliated with the Presidential Court, the Foundation is an independent entity responsible for overseeing a range of organizations, with a focus on advancing humanitarian causes and fulfilling its mandate.
