Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has opened the 40th edition of ADIPEC. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. It will take place at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi until 7 November 2024.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, was present at the opening. They were also accompanied by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The opening ceremony of ADIPEC 2024 included the UAE National Anthem and a video presentation about the event. His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, delivered a keynote address, followed by a panel discussion featuring energy ministers from across the globe.

Organized by ADNOC, ADIPEC is recognized as the largest energy event worldwide, attracting over 200,000 participants, including top innovators and experts. This year’s theme, “Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy,” focuses on fostering innovation and collaboration.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the UAE’s dedication to promoting technological innovation as a key driver in various sectors, especially energy. HH underscored the importance of strategic partnerships with leading international organizations to integrate AI solutions into the energy industry, facilitating the global shift towards clean energy sources.
This year’s ADIPEC introduced several new features, including a Digitalization and Technology Conference aimed at exploring how next-generation technologies, such as AI, can enhance decarbonization efforts and improve efficiency. Additionally, new exhibitions from leading companies in advanced technologies and AI were showcased.
The opening ceremony welcomed notable attendees, including His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, and various other high-ranking officials from government and industry sectors.
ADIPEC spans 16 halls and includes 10 conferences, bringing together over 2,200 exhibitors from the global energy landscape. This year’s event features 54 National Oil Companies (NOCs), International Oil Companies (IOCs), National Energy Companies (NECs), and Independent Energy Companies (IECs), alongside 30 dedicated country pavilions. The focus areas include decarbonization, digitalization, maritime and logistics, as well as AI, highlighting the latest innovations shaping the energy sector.
