Sharjah: The 2022 Edition of the Sharjah Shopping Promotions campaign has successfully concluded, reporting substantial growth in sales for participating malls and stores, as well as lucrative profits for the retail sector and other business segments.
The initiative organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recorded an excellent 25 percent growth in the volume of purchase throughout the campaign along with a remarkable 40+ percent rise in the number of shoppers, compared to the previous year.
A SCCI undertaking, the Sharjah Shopping Promotions offered a delightful opportunity for the emirate residents and visitors to enjoy the best winter in the world, along with amazing recreational and tourist events.
As much as 653 shops and stores took part in the event, offering attractive, deep discounts of up to 75 percent on leading brands and various types of goods, besides valuable gifts and prizes.
We are pleased with the overwhelming success of this edition of Sharjah Shopping Promotions, which culminated in the significant rise in the sales volume of the shopping malls and retail stores. Mr. Abdul Aziz Shattaf, Assistant General Manager for the Communications and Business Sector, SCCI remarked.
The SCCI Official further added that “This reflects the SCCI’s vision and strategy to boost the economic movement and highlight the tourist attractions in the emirate, thanks to the availability of the infrastructure necessary to organize such events.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Jamal Said Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communications Department, General Coordinator of the Promotions, observed that, “Sharjah Shopping Promotions continues to achieve outstanding successes. This is attributed to the SCCI’s innovative work mechanisms suitable for such recreational events in order to attract the largest possible number of shoppers and visitors,”
Mr. Bouzanjal further elaborated that Sharjah Chamber embraces the concept of modern economy in festivals and shopping events to keep pace with international best practices in revitalizing the retail trade sector and other sectors, most notably the hotel, tourism and travel sectors.
Expanding the range of activities of the 2022 Sharjah Shopping Promotions, SCCI sponsored the 4th Al Bataeh Folk Festival as the main event in the “Sharjah Shopping Offers” agenda, which concluded its activities last week.
The closing ceremony of the event witnessed the celebration of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its great support for the success of this distinguished event.
