Sharjah: The House of Wisdom (HoW), the high-tech library and culture center located in the Emirate of Sharjah is celebrating the tradition of Ramadan Festivities by setting up the 1st ever outdoor marketplace.
The marketplace, House of Wisdom Ramadaniyat’ which runs till the 24th of April offers visitors of all age groups several activities that bring together a unique shopping experience, arts and gastronomic delights.
The ‘House of Wisdom Ramadaniyat’ will remain open from 8.30 PM until the midnight. Visitors to the site can browse through 20 vendor booths used by local entrepreneurs and SMEs to displaying an array of exclusive clothing and jewelry pieces by homegrown independent boutiques and designers.
LITTLE READER’S RAMADANIYAT
Visitors arriving for the event can register their kids to the ‘Little Reader’s Ramadaniyat’, a key component of the event, to keep the young ones occupied at the workshop space and shopping area while parents continue their shopping experience and participate in the activities held in the outdoor area.
‘Little Reader’s Ramadaniyat’ is also hosting a program based on an international framework, focusing on STEM, Wellbeing, Music, Literature, Art and Identity. Emphasizing the element of play in learning as well as social and emotional development, the program helps the children build their cultural competence and life skills in addition to engaging in a variety of activities and experiences.
As part of the workshop series, DIY kits that include craft tools, toys and products relevant to the blessed month of Ramadan, will be available for sale which participants can purchase and work on with the help of trained facilitators.

Vendors at the Little Reader section are offering vibrantly illustrated books designed to help youth form a healthy and long-lasting relationship with the Arabic language while stimulating their imagination.
Younger kids will be delighted by the brightly colored early learning toys and products to enhance children’s cognitive capabilities.
