Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, has inaugurated the fourth edition of the Sharjah Events Festival at Al Majaz Amphitheater.
Under the theme “It Shines with its Festivities,” the festival is organized by the Sharjah Events website in collaboration with the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. Running from December 12 to 15, the Sharjah Events Festival features a diverse program of 52 activities and events tailored for families, children, and adventure enthusiasts.
During the opening, H.H. Sheikh Sultan stepped into the interactive dome designed to imitate Sharjah’s natural surroundings. Inside, he witnessed a visual presentation outlining the 2025 agenda of Sharjah’s events, which will be organized in partnership with government and private entities.
The festival highlights a mix of activities, from land paddling competitions and treasure hunts to puppet shows, balloon displays, and the unique balance chair challenge. Visitors can also enjoy interactive games blending entertainment with education and live performances on the festival stage throughout the day.
The event’s nature-inspired theme includes forest adventure experiences, allowing attendees to encounter simulated natural settings over the festival’s four days. Additional interests include funfairs, theatrical performances, and a food corner offering an array of dining options.
Prominent Sharjah officials, including Sheikh Salem bin Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansoori, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council (SMC); Ali Ahmed Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority; Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; and Alia Bu Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), along with numerous officials and festival attendees.
The Sharjah Events Festival 2024 offers an all-encompassing experience for visitors, incorporating adventure, culture, and entertainment, making it a must-visit destination this weekend.
