Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), through its “Emirati Goldsmiths” Platform, participated in the prestigious 70th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair. The event, held in Thailand from 9th to 13th September 2024, was an opportunity for young Emirati designers to exhibit their work on a global stage.
Mona Sultan Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of the SCCI’s Chairman, led the delegation, which featured a talented group of Emirati women designers. Their collections of gold and diamond jewelry captivated attendees and industry experts, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship of the UAE.
In addition to the exhibition, the Emirati designers participated in specialized seminars and workshops led by international experts in jewelry design. These sessions offered valuable insights into the latest trends and techniques, enhancing the skills of the participants.
Al Suwaidi emphasized the strategic importance of such international events in reinforcing the UAE’s status as a global hub for jewelry design. She highlighted how the designers’ creations, inspired by the UAE’s cultural heritage, resonated with contemporary global trends.
