Sharjah: The Arabic Language Education Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah took part in the International Conference on Laws, Regulations, Legislation, Policies and Language Planning.
The League of Arab States hosted the meeting collaborating with Arab and international organizations and bodies. The Arab League, formally the League of Arab States, is a regional organization in the Arab world located in Northern Africa, Western Africa, Eastern Africa, and Western Asia.
As part of the conference, ALECGS presented a working paper titled, “Efforts of the Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States in developing policies for teaching and learning the Arabic Language.”
The paper, which ALECGS Director Dr. Issa Saleh Al-Hammadi presented, discussed the center’s definition and goals for teaching and learning Arabic on distinct educational, scientific, and professional bases while utilising the best available technical tools and adhering to international quality standards.
The Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States in Sharjah is launching various packages of distance training programs on developing methods for teaching and learning the Arabic language. The ALECGS previously unveiled their sixth remote training program entitled: “Teaching Reading for Beginners in the Light of Oral Language Requirements”.
That program aimed to develop a list of some oral language requirements for teaching reading to beginners. It also raised the skills of specialists in the Arabic language and improved the level of students’ achievement in the Arabic language in member states.
