Sharjah: Sharjah International Airport has declared its participation in the inaugural GCC Airports CEOs Forum, held in Muscat, Oman.
The event put together vital airport leaders from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to enhance greater collaboration, improve infrastructure, and streamline logistical services in addition to the region’s rising air travel demands.
The forum, which also focuses on addressing the challenges posed by global change in the aviation sector, is positioned to deliver economic development and foster the aviation industry’s role as a key contributor to the region’s extension.
Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA), emphasized the strategic necessity of participating in the forum, noting that it aligns with Sharjah Airport’s commitment to develop regional and international cooperation.

Al Midfa stated that, “This forum highlights our dedication to aid the aviation sector by working closely with GCC airports, delivering top-tier services to passengers, and adhering to sustainability standards in the travel and aviation sector.”
Sheikh Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports, expressed the importance of collaborative attempts among Gulf airports to achieve sustainable development and global competitiveness.
Al Hosni commented that, “Collaboration strengthens innovation and improves infrastructure, which in turn ensures the growth of the aviation industry. Through this forum, we foster to build strong partnerships that enable us to effectively address future concerns, including digital transformation, safety, security, and improving the passenger experience.”
