Abu Dhabi: H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has visited several notable pavilions at the 40th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). ADIPEC has brought together industry leaders and showcased major advances in energy technology, underscoring Abu Dhabi’s position at the forefront of energy innovation.
Sheikh Saif’s visit highlighted the growing significance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the energy sector, with a special priority on technologies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and promoting sustainability. The AI-based solutions underlined included tools designed to optimize production processes and significantly lower carbon emissions, recalling the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development goals.
At ADNOC’s pavilion, Sheikh Saif met with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber. The session delivered an in-depth look into ADNOC’s recent achievements and large-scale projects that align with the UAE’s wider energy and economic diversification strategies. The discussions underscored ADNOC’s efforts to incorporate advanced technology into its operations, paving the way for a more resilient energy infrastructure.
Sheikh Saif’s tour also included visits to key UAE companies. Al Masaood’s pavilion featured sustainable solutions to enhance sectoral efficiency, while Mubadala stressed its diverse investments in the energy and industrial sectors. He also explored exhibits by notable companies such as Ali & Sons Energy, EMDAD, Dragon Oil, CS, and the International Development Company (IDC), recollecting the event’s diverse representation of local and international firms.
This year’s ADIPEC underlined the UAE’s commitment to innovation in the energy landscape, spotlighting both national initiatives and collaborative global measures driving the future of energy.
