Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a crucial three-lane bridge connecting Sheikh Rashid Road to the Infinity Bridge, marking a major milestone in Phase 4 of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project.
This ambitious project, spanning 4.8 km, is designed to enhance traffic flow and improve connectivity across key areas of the city.
Key Features of the Project
Phase 4 of the Al Shindagha Corridor includes the construction of three bridges totaling 3.1 km in length. Together, they are designed to accommodate up to 19,400 vehicles per hour.
First Bridge: A three-lane, 1,335-meter-long structure enhances traffic between Sheikh Rashid Road and Falcon Interchange, handling 10,800 vehicles per hour.
Second Bridge: Scheduled to open in January, this 780-meter, three-lane bridge will serve traffic from Falcon Interchange toward Al Wasl Road, with a capacity of 5,400 vehicles per hour.
Third Bridge: A two-lane, 985-meter bridge facilitates traffic from Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street heading to Falcon Interchange, accommodating 3,200 vehicles per hour.
Additional upgrades include 4.8 km of roads, improvements to intersections on Jumeirah Street, Al Mina Street, and Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Street, along with two new pedestrian bridges, advanced lighting, and rainwater drainage systems.

Completed and Ongoing Works
The Al Shindagha Corridor, one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region, spans 13 km and includes 15 intersections. Phases completed to date include:
Infinity Bridge: A 295-meter structure featuring six lanes in each direction and a shared pedestrian and cyclist path. Its iconic infinity-shaped arch symbolizes Dubai’s limitless ambition.
Falcon Interchange Improvements: This phase included two six-lane bridges accommodating 24,000 vehicles per hour, as well as a tunnel and surface-level intersection for enhanced traffic flow.
With 71% of Phase 4 completed and future bridges set to open, the RTA continues to align infrastructure with Dubai’s growth, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable urban mobility.
