Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has marked Pink October with a series of events aimed at promoting health awareness and encouraging preventive care among female employees.
RTA Pink October events have focused on the significance of early breast cancer detection while also fostering holistic wellness through psychological, physical, and nutritional programs.
Led by the RTA Women’s Committee, the month-long initiative has featured workshops and awareness sessions delivered by experts from leading medical and nutritional institutions.
Participants have engaged in activities such as Jesmonite arts and crafts to relieve stress, yoga and breathing exercises to improve mental clarity, and interactive nutrition sessions, including a ‘Make Your Own Salad’ workshop.

Specialist sessions provided insights into preventive measures and treatment options for breast cancer. Dr. Sama Zibdeh, Consultant Breast Surgeon at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, guided employees on the latest developments in detection and care.
Maison Elite Clinic and Call Doctor Group contributed to the program with educational sessions on general and aesthetic health. Union Coop complemented the activities by presenting commemorative gifts to participants, alongside a photo session at the Women’s Committee headquarters.
The events also offered practical health services, including free medical check-ups in collaboration with Prime Hospital. These included consultations aimed at improving overall wellbeing, reflecting RTA’s commitment to cultivating a culture of health awareness in the workplace.
RTA Pink October events have successfully combined education, wellness, and engagement, ensuring female employees receive both knowledge and practical tools to maintain a balanced lifestyle. The initiative reinforces RTA’s dedication to fostering a safe, healthy, and proactive work environment, while promoting preventive care and stress management practices.
