Sharjah: Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has visited the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP). While there, he received a comprehensive understanding of the services and solutions available to national and international businesses and projects both inside and outside the UAE.
Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, chairperson of SRTIP and president of the American University of Sharjah welcomed the Ruler. Sheikh Saud was given a thorough explanation of the ambitious plan for the park, whose main goal, as explained by the Chairperson, is to foster a healthy innovation culture throughout the nation and the region as a whole.
Sheikha Bodour also discussed the park’s future plans and highlighted its affiliated centres, all of which work to elevate SRTIP’s standing as the region’s leading centre for research and innovation. Sheikh Saud praised Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his tireless efforts to advance scientific endeavours in the emirate and throughout the United Arab Emirates.

The Ruler emphasised SRTIP’s role in expanding Sharjah’s academic, scientific, and economic landscape, highlighting the importance of its accomplishments in research and innovation that are essential to the region’s all-encompassing and sustainable progress.
The cutting-edge advancements and technological breakthroughs that are essential to the park’s functioning were described in detail by the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. Mr. Hussein Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTIP, gave a thorough summary of the park’s efforts, activities, and programmes during this visit.
The Ruler was welcomed by the CEO of Sheraa, Ms. Najla al Midfa, who gave an overview of the centre’s many objectives during his tour of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa), the booming hub for entrepreneurial activity with its headquarters at SRTIP. According to Ms. Al Midfa, the main goal of Sheraa is to energise and support the growth of startups, entrepreneurs, and students by offering them a variety of platforms, services, and resources to help them develop important skills and realise their innovative ideas.

The final destination on Sheikh Saud’s tour of SRTIP was the uSky Innovation Complex, where Dr. Anatoli Unitsky, the founder of uSky Transport, greeted him. Dr. Unitsky gave a summary of the complex’s plans, objectives, and advantages gained from SRTIP’s innovative environment during this visit.
