Sharjah: The Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) has officially launched its annual Pink Caravan campaign, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year’s campaign emphasizes the critical importance of early detection while empowering individuals with essential knowledge to safeguard their health.
Campaign Overview
The Pink Caravan (PC) is set to deploy eight fixed and over 100 mobile clinics across the UAE, providing free breast cancer screenings. In addition to medical services, the month-long initiative will feature various awareness workshops and community activities aimed at engaging citizens and residents throughout the UAE.

Corporate Involvement
FOCP encourages companies and institutions to support the fight against breast cancer by engaging in various initiatives:
- Mobile Clinic Services: Corporations can book a mobile clinic to provide free screenings for female employees.
- Corporate Wellness Day: Companies can organize a day that includes mammogram screenings and educational lectures.
Awareness Packages:
- Mobile Clinic: Offers mammograms for 20 female employees over 40 and clinical exams for 60 employees over 20.
- Corporate Wellness Day Package: Includes virtual seminars and vouchers for mammograms and clinical exams for 60 employees over 20.
- Mini-Clinic Services: Provides clinical exams for 60 employees and vouchers for mammograms.
Additionally, companies can arrange awareness lectures to educate staff on the importance of regular self-examinations.
Community Engagement Event
From the 4th to the 6th of October, the Pink Caravan will host a family-friendly community awareness event in Aljada, Sharjah, focusing on early detection screenings and promoting cancer prevention awareness. The event will run from 4 PM to 10 PM and will feature a range of activities, including sports, games, workshops, and a petting zoo.
