Dubai: The 24th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show (DSS) organized by the state-owned utility service provider, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) attracted 47,415 visitors to the event.
The event which was organized under the theme ‘At the Forefront of Sustainability,” witnessed the participation of 1,750 companies from 55 countries across the globe.
With the involvement of big corporations from the area and around the world, WETEX & DSS underscored the most recent global solutions, technologies, and innovations in energy, water, sustainability, green technologies, renewable and clean energy, green mobility solutions, sustainable development, green buildings, electric vehicles, and water desalination technologies.
Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, the Founder and Chairman of WETEX and the Dubai Solar Show, acknowledged his joy at the exhibition’s notable success this year and the huge attendance of tourists and experts from the area and throughout the world.
Mr. Al Tayer praised the superior technologies and creative solutions offered by specialized institutions around the world.
According to the MD & CEO of DEWA, the Authority will host the next WETEX and Dubai Solar Show from October 2 to 4, 2023.
WETEX & DSS 2022 gathered 64 sponsors from national and international organizations and featured 20 international pavilions. Through the Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) platforms, numerous interactions between businesses, public and private institutions, and investors took place throughout the course of the exhibition’s three days.
Throughout WETEX & DSS, DEWA hosted 110 seminars and roundtable discussions with eminent experts and specialists on a variety of subjects, including sustainability, clean and renewable energy, green hydrogen, water desalination using clean energy, decarbonization, circular economy, renewable energy generation and storage, waste-to-energy technologies, artificial intelligence, emerging utility technologies, smart metres, and grids.
B2B and B2G interactions are great places for businesses to network, locate new clients, and find possible partners while also maximizing the impact of their involvement.
