Abu Dhabi: “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” marks a year of the UAE’s swift mobilization to aid Palestinians during the Gaza humanitarian crisis, prioritizing medical care, emergency relief, and critical health infrastructure.
Following the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this comprehensive initiative has provided extensive support to those affected by the crisis.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has achieved remarkable milestones over the past year, delivering extensive humanitarian aid, medical care, and critical support for infrastructure in Gaza,
UAE Field Hospital
Established in Rafah, Gaza, last year, the UAE Field Hospital continues to operate under challenging conditions, offering specialized services that have treated over 48,000 injured individuals.
UAE Floating Hospital
A floating hospital in Al Arish, Egypt, has provided specialized surgery and outpatient care for 5,040 Palestinians since it began operations.
Prosthetic Limb Initiative
To support those who have lost limbs, the UAE launched a prosthetics program providing advanced artificial limbs along with psychological support and rehabilitation to help individuals regain mobility and independence.
Health Sector Support
The UAE contributed 736 tonnes of medical supplies to Gaza, alongside efforts to rehabilitate hospitals. This support extended to evacuating 1,000 children and 1,000 cancer patients to the UAE for treatment and initiating a polio vaccination campaign for over 640,000 children, in partnership with WHO, UNICEF, and UNRWA.

Strategic Transport of Aid
Through a logistical operation spanning air, land, and sea, the UAE has delivered over 34,000 tonnes of aid to Gaza via 273 flights, five cargo ships, and six ships from Cyprus, utilizing 1,284 trucks for delivery.
‘Birds of Goodness’ Initiative
The UAE’s Joint Operations Command launched the “Birds of Goodness” initiative, using C-17 aircraft to air-drop 3,623 tonnes of humanitarian supplies in remote areas of Gaza.
Water Projects
The UAE established six desalination plants in Al Arish, supplying clean water to over one million Gaza residents daily. Efforts also included repairing water infrastructure in Khan Yunis and North Gaza.
Humanitarian Commitment
As part of “Chivalrous Knight 3,” UAE volunteers continue providing essential resources, including shelter, food, and winter supplies, reaffirming the UAE’s enduring commitment to supporting Palestinians in Gaza under challenging circumstances.
Through various programs, UAE has not only addressed immediate needs but has also fostered long-term resilience and recovery for those affected. As the operation continues, it reaffirms the UAE’s dedication to alleviating suffering and improving living conditions for the Palestinian community.
