Abu Dhabi: The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) convened a meeting with the Joint Weather and Tropical Assessment Team to evaluate the ongoing tropical situation in the Arabian Sea. During the session, experts analysed initial data, which suggests that the UAE will experience only indirect effects from the tropical system.
According to the latest assessments, the primary impact on the UAE will involve turbulent seas, with the possibility of water encroaching into some coastal areas. However, there are no indications of any direct threats to the country’s inland regions.
As part of the UAE’s proactive approach, the team discussed measures to enhance readiness for any potential developments. This includes intensified monitoring, the preparation of contingency plans, and the dissemination of safety guidelines to the public through official channels.
These initiatives are part of the nation’s broader strategy to ensure robust preparedness for various weather conditions, thereby safeguarding both the population and infrastructure.
The team strongly warned against spreading unverified information or rumours, which can cause panic and confusion. They urged the public to rely only on official sources for accurate updates and safety guidelines.
