Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has announced that the third edition of the Industrialists Career Exhibition will be held from October 28th to 30th, aimed at creating and matching job opportunities in the industrial and advanced technology sectors.
Hosted at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, this edition builds on the success of the previous two, which led to the creation of over 1,400 specialized jobs for Emirati talent, including 150 roles for People of Determination.
The earlier events in Ras Al Khaimah generated more than 200 jobs, bringing the total to over 1,600 jobs within a year of the exhibition’s launch last October, significantly enhancing Emirati employment in the private sector.
This edition will present more than 900 new job opportunities, including over 100 roles for People of Determination, spread across 93 private companies in nine key sectors: food and beverages, oil field services and energy, engineering and construction, manufacturing, consulting and auditing, logistics and trade, project management, technology and engineering services, and contracting and infrastructure.
Support for Female Recruits
For the first time, the exhibition will also offer job and training opportunities to female national service recruits from the “Hama” program, launched by the Government Development and the Future Office in collaboration with the National Service and Reserve Authority (NSRA). This initiative aims to develop specialized professional skills in five critical sectors, including industry and advanced technology.
The Industrialists Career Exhibition is a joint national initiative involving MoIAT, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and ADNOC Group, under the National In-Country Value (ICV) Program. This is part of the UAE’s broader Projects of the 50 initiatives, with the backing of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The initiative underscores the importance of developing and investing in national talent to drive the industrial economy. His Highness has recently emphasized the need to integrate highly qualified Emirati talent into the industrial sector to strengthen its contribution to the national economy.
The exhibition aims to bring together government entities, private sector companies, training institutions, and jobseekers, offering job and training opportunities that align with factory needs and jobseekers’ skills, while facilitating rapid employment for Emirati talent. This edition will provide a range of roles, including on-site, office, and hybrid positions.
For the first time, an app with an instant matching system will be used to align jobseekers’ qualifications with available vacancies using advanced technology. In addition to the jobs secured through previous exhibitions, the ministry, in collaboration with partners, has introduced specialized training programs in key sectors, such as oil and gas. Thousands of young Emiratis have attended the exhibitions to explore new opportunities.
To raise awareness, MoIAT organized workshops for manufacturers and jobseekers from August 15th to September 15th, and from September 15th to October 15th, respectively.
Overall, the exhibition reflects the UAE’s ongoing commitment to empowering national talent and bolstering the country’s industrial and technological sectors.
